Hi, Im Emily and I am a Design & Development Manager based in the Midlands.
I like to think that I have always been creative, from doodling at a young age and creating cartoon characters through to more disciplined graphic design and fine art studies at college. Then finally finishing my education at Coventry University, where I graduated with a 1st Class Degree in Graphic Design.

Then finally finishing my education at Coventry University, where I graduated with a 1st Class Degree in Graphic Design.
From there I started my design career at a small agency in Coventry. In these early days, we were only a team of 4 and over the duration of my career and development at this company, I am now team leader within a team of 20 designers, developers and marketeers. I stayed with this company as I really enjoyed the working environment, the people I worked with, the clients and the diversity of projects. I also learnt a lot.
My role involves managing clients, projects, resource and budgets and I also get to be hands on and creative, leading the UX/ UI design process for most of the web and digital design projects.

What I like most about my job is creating digital products and interfaces that are functional but also creative and appealing to users. I like to spend a lot of time researching the audience and base UX and UI decisions on reporting and user behaviour data where possible. The best part of any project, is when you get to work with a client or product over a period of time. Reviewing user data and behaviours to inform future iterations and improvements to UX and UI is something I take great satisfaction from.
I am a mom to two amazing children and spend most of my spare time at football practice and swimming competitions. I feel lucky that my career has helped support and nurture not only me, but also my family. Any other spare time I have I spend being creative, I still like to sketch, paint and craft as much as I can.
I like to think of myself as very loyal and I have felt appreciated and valued in my current role. Now I feel that its time to look towards to the future and find a new opportunity where I can grown and learn even more. Im a people person, so working in an office environment suits me well, but I also see the benefit in having remote working days too. There is nothing better than an uninterrupted day to get stuck into a project.
Please feel free to drop me a message.
Thanks,
Emily
